AUGUST 2023
Summary of the business trip to China 2023
report on our trip to the World Robot Conferece
It was a very eventful trip
In two weeks in China, we...
Traveled to three cities
Meet the leaders of the Chinese robotics industry
Visited one of the largest robot exhibitions World Robotics Conference 2023.
Saw how advanced robotics is in China
Beijing, Hangzhou,z and Shenzhen are modern cities that impress with their dimensions
We visited more than 20 organizations: leading research centers, developers and manufacturers of industrial and service robots, technology parks, and industry unions (China Robotics Association, Hangzhou, and Shenzhen Robotics Associations).
The conference was attended by roboticists from all over the world, and the exhibition showcased about 600 robots for industrial automation, agriculture, trade and logistics, medicine, and other applications.
Found out just how advanced China’s robotics industry is. We have met them on the roads, in hotels, in cafes, train stations, and airports.
WE VISITED MORE THAN 20 COMPANIES

OUR APPOINTMENTS
INNOWAY
"Innovation Street" is in the heart of China's Zhongguancun Science, technology, and education Valley, hosting more than 2,900 startups with an investment of 9 billion yuan of investments
AUBO
Chinese manufacturer of collaborative robots. The company was founded only in 2015 but already has 600 employees who produce and sell 6,000 robots annually. The company's priority is affordability and complete solutions.
Auba develops off-the-shelf solutions for applications in non-industrial segments, such as harvesting, coffee preparation (barista robots), and even massage. They are also developing their own motors.
So far, 90% of sales are in China, but they plan to expand to international markets, including Russia.
LENOVO
We were met at Lenovo's Beijing office by Tian Rihui,
CTO for Metaverse and Digital Twins.
The company's strategy is "Smarter technology for all."
Lenovo showed us its smart technologies, including 5G infrastructure and inspection robots. There are plans to develop a technology platform for meta-universes. The technology giant's strategy is to incorporate other companies' products and technologies into its platform
MEETING WITH THE LEADING?
THE CHINESE ROBOTICS ASSOCIATION
Chinese Robotics Industry Alliance (CRIA) brings together more than 500 companies in the robotics and automation industry. The meeting was also attended by ARTROBOT (humanoid development and components), AUBO Robotics (collaborative robots), EFFORT (industrial robots), SIASUN (industrial and service robotics giant), Chietom (gearboxes), an industrial and service
BEIJING INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY
Beijing University of Technology is one of China's largest robotics research centers. They develop anthropomorphic and medical robots (cyber hands with a brain-computer interface, robots for colonoscopy). There are developments in the field of biomorphic robotics - a bat robot and a snake robot for pipeline inspection. There is also a robot for playing table tennis.
XIAOSHAN ROBOT TOWN
It’s an Economic and Development Zone accommodating 40 enterprises for the development and production of robots and their components, with a turnover of over 3 billion yuan. Among other companies such as ABB, Siemens, Kelda, Citic Kaicheng, Quanjiang Robotics, and others are located there.
QJAR
A Chinese manufacturer of industrial robots, a subsidiary of AMD (frying pan manufacturer).
The need for automation in the production of frying pans led to the creation of QJAR. Now the company has not only automated its production but also sells more than
5,000 industrial robots per year.
HIK ROBOTICS & HIK VISION
HIK Vision manufactures sensors and video cameras that are actively used in robots and automated systems. HIK Robotics develops logistics solutions, including stacker robots and mobile robots for cargo transportation.
Feedback from participants
  • Eduard
The trip to China was very intense. We visited many companies and covered, I think, the whole spectrum of robotics, from parts production to art installations!
It was great to see China, it's a different culture, a different mentality. Very much enjoyed the trip in terms of organizing the transfer - everything was done conveniently, I didn’t have to worry about anything
    Thank you!

Business mission is your chance to learn about the most advanced robotics technologies firsthand, to get acquainted with the production of world leaders in the market of cobots and mobile robots, to establish business contacts with key players in the global and Chinese robotics industry.
  • Ratibor
The business mission opens up opportunities that are not available during an individual visit to the country. The high level of specialists participating in the mission allows to establish immediate contact with target enterprises and top management of large companies and associations.
China has demonstrated the strongest competencies in robotics and is undoubtedly a trendsetter in the industry, so it was important for us to exchange experience with Chinese specialists and form a common vision of the digitalization of industry and the role of robotics in this process.
